Tom‘s growing concern for global resource conflicts lead to fresh water’s main consumer – agriculture. Adding in the environmental, social and health impacts of the combined food sector, he decided to pursue aquaponics as a versatile solution. The first system was built in an old cupboard outside, and after trips to farms in the UK and Antigua (Indies Greens), an other prototype, and volunteering at World Water Week, he is currently building a 10,000 litre system in an Oxfordshire barn. Other interests include using waste fed insects as fish feed and developing data collection and utilisation.
